Why buy through a cooperative?
We are a non profit organisation and can offer our
members lower prices than organic retailers. Members can further reduce the
price by volunteering their time .
We buy at wholesale prices and add a ‘mark up’ to
cover costs and extend buying capacity. Our markup is about a third of a retailers.
The co-op gives customers the opportunity to control
how much waste packaging they take home by providing food in bulk. You can
bring your own containers.
Buying through the co-op is also a social event. We share
and try new recipes, and enjoy beautiful food.
It is a friendly
environment, free from advertising, bright lights and crowds.
The co-op is a community group that informs members
of local issues and events.
Everybody has a voice at the
